Bioflux webinar: Flow dynamics influence on biofilm formation by Proteus mirabilis

Dec 2, 2019

In the SCARAB labs (University of Sheffield, UK) we are using the BioFlux 1000Z system to study ureolytic Proteus mirabilis biofilms in catheter-like flow environments, aiming to uncover some of the key factors influencing biofilm development and catheter blockage. Preliminary work presented in this webinar shows both surface- and flow-dependent growth phenotypes, indicating an important role for both of these in biofilm formation.
