“ImageStream Imaging Cytometer, is a powerful platform that allows routine analyses and quantification of cell morphological properties, physiological parameters like cell viability and DNA topology, identification of lipid droplet formations and all this from statistically significant sample of thousands cells per sample including single cell level information.”
Global Change Research Institute CAS, Brno, Czech Republic
“ImageStream is a very Powerful tool for studying insect cells. This technique gave us the unique possibility for very fast and precise evaluation of the viability of honeybee (Apis mellifera) spermatozoa. In the near future the Imaging Cytometry will be a “gold standard” technique in the field of insects reproduction research”.
Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic
“We use the Amnis FlowSight imaging flow cytometer in our interdisciplinary research on biomaterials designed for biomedical applications, such as nanoparticles targeting cancer cells. This platform allows quantitative analysis of cellular markers, as well as imaging of every cell, thereby providing detailed information on cell phenotype and function. This instrument is an excellent fusion between a flow cytometer and a microscope allowing the precise intracellular localization of the fluorescent signal”.
National Institute for Lasers, Plasma and Radiation Physics (INFLPR), Bucharest, Romania
The Amnis ImageStreamX Mark II imaging flow cytometer combines the speed, sensitivity, and phenotyping abilities of flow cytometry with the detailed imagery and functional insights of microscopy. This unique combination enables a broad range of applications that would be impossible using either technique alone.
The Mark II produces multiple high resolution images of every cell directly in flow, including brightfield, darkfield (SSC) and up to 10 fluorescent markers with sensitivity exceeding conventional flow cytometers. Compared to the original ImageStreamX, the Mark II offers a streamlined workflow, greater flexibility, and optimizations for rare cell applications.
Taken together, the capabilities of the ImageStreamX Mark II make it superior for traditional flow applications while greatly expanding the scope of flow cytometry. Applications include the study of cell-cell interactions, phagocytosis, colocalization, apoptosis and autophagy, the characterization of circulating tumor cells, and many others.
