Bruker’s MRI CryoProbe uses cryogenic RF coils and preamplifiers cooled by a closed-cycle refrigeration system. Because thermal noise of the RF coil and the associated electronics are comparable to the sample noise in small animal MRI, the coil performance can be significantly improved by a strong reduction of this noise contribution.
MRI CryoProbe provides enormous SNR increase compared to standard room-temperature RF coils:
Higher resolution in vivo up to 20 µm
Shorter measurement times
New applications that are not feasible with room temperature coils (high res, fMRI…)
Shorter anesthesia durations
Studies become more cost effecient due to short measurements times
Easy-to-use CryoProbe Setup
The MRI CryoProbe Family:
1H Quadrature Transmit/receive MRI CryoProbe for 10.5 cm Gradients and Larger
1H Four channel phased array receive-only MRI CryoProbe for 12 cm gradients and larger
1H Quadrature transmit/receive MRI CryoProbe for 6 cm gradients
X-nuclei MRI CryoProbe with combined 1 H room temperature RF-coil
